Week #80 Multi-Zona - - Pictures!

Hello Mother,
I got the Faumui's box other day, it was sick!  It had cereal and everything - - - happy Elder!  I got yours too, thank you for the treats and needed items.  No one liked the Mexican candy, President spit it out in the trash, Brazilians don't go well with spicy stuff - - but I ate the rest so thanks LOL!  (Shout out to Sister Dolores Rios for the yummy candy!)
We have a huge number of missionaries leaving with the Canuto's in June. Fernandes is already home (Training Companion), Andrade is already home, Johnson already home, Laurentis goes home in two weeks.  Nunes goes home in about a month and a half.  It is strange sending all of the Elder's I have served with home - - my time is short.
Multi-Zona was huge.  All the missionaries were in attendance.  It's the Canuto's last one.  I will be sad to see them go - - I have learned a lot working along side President.
Have a great week and enjoy all the pictures.  Love Elder Akina

Week #79 Happy Birthday President Canuto

Hello Ohana,
This week was cool, it was President Canuto's birthday, so we had a little party for him here in the office.  There is a multi zona coming up this week - - with the whole mission.  It will be President's last multi zona :/ .  Lol - -  I will buy President's plane ticket home.
Happy Birthday President Canuto!
This past week we've been going hard on the tracting, talking with everyone, and asking for references like crazy.  . . . . . I think one thing I've learned since I've been on my mission, is that the Holy Ghost is capable of everything and He touches all of Gods children.  So if we do our part, and find the RIGHT PEOPLE and the teach them in the RIGHT WAY, they will be able to feel Him, and there won't exist a reason to deny Him.
I put a bunch of fotos/ videos up hope you like them.  Love you.  Elder Akina

*Personal letter this week, as you can see - - a big part in the middle has not been posted per out Elder's request. He is doing great - - not to worry!

Kind of like - - Don't Mess with Texas!

Week #78 Ana Claudia

Hey Mom,
Sorry I didn't email!! This week was suuuper busy.  Ana Claudia did get baptized - -  it was one of the coolest experiences I have ever had!  It was marked for Saturday, but she ended up getting baptized Sunday.  General Conference played a HUGE part in her conversion, it was so cool!  I brought my camera to the baptism and forgot my memory card wasn't in it - - so other Elders took pictures.  They'll send them tomorrow, then I'll send them to you guys.  Ana Claudia is fighting right now in Minas Gerais, she's doing some tournament and she'll be back in a couple of days.

Ana Claudia, baptized April 3, 2016 in Piracicaba

I don't think I have money.  I sent my shoes to the shoe fixing place and when I went to pick them up my card got declined.  So my shoes are waiting there.
3rd pair of shoes - - Mission Trophies!

The office is really hectic, always somewhere to go or something to do.  I am in my 4th transfer here.  We got a new Financial Secretary, his name is Elder Duarte from Manaus. We have a Multi Zona coming up on the 21st with the whole mission - - which is a lot of work, vans, lunch, certificates, pretty much all of the stuff I had always thought just magically appeared at these types of events and I have to organize now  - - lol.   My companion goes home in 3 weeks.  I go home on September 13th. (Can you hear our secret squeals of happiness all the way from El Paso?)  You guys aren't coming to pic me up, right?  We have a huge group of missionaries going home in June, I have already started buying their tickets home.
I will look for your Nativities, I'll bring them home with me.  I like the idea of the green/yellow ties.  If not - -  pick something you think will look good.
I love you guys. Tchau.  Elder Akina

Long day at the office!

We baptized Adrielly in Guanabara.  This is her the Primary class she teaches!

Week #77 No Letter

No letter this week.  Sad face.
Transfers and General Conference - -  must have made the mission office extremely busy.
